Why break out of frames

One miss use of frames is to gain search rank. One page rank technique is to frame a high PR site, and it actually may redirect that page rank value to another site. A page title and description can show in the search results with the framers site url. When the search result link is clicked the page shows inside a frame on the framers url showing content from the page described in the search results.

This can be good or bad, some argue that is stealing your content. Some like the traffic boost, if the framing site is busy. Some feel they have lost some credit for their work. You can use code to break your site out of frames. But consider first do you want to.

Google images frames sites. If you want a lot of image search traffic you would want Google to show your site in this way.

Use this script to remove all frames.

I have not found a code to allow a white list of sites allowed to show a site in frames. So for now it is all or none. If you have a working script for selective frame breaking please let us know and we will make it available here.
